Since this week is budget week on Nicolished, I thought it might be fun to show you guys which budget brands are my absolute favourites. For people who read my blog frequently, this won’t be such a surprising post, but for those of you who don’t, it might be interesting. So, if you’re interested in finding out which budget brands I really like, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with Catrice. Catrice is one of the most popular budget beauty brands in the Netherlands. I haven’t always been a big fan of it myself, but Catrice does carry a few products in their collection that I genuinely love. One of which is the Catrice Camouflage Cream. I used up about 3 to 4 jars of it already and I keep repurchasing it. It’s such a good product.
The Catrice foundations are quite popular and I get why. My personal favourite is the Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation because it comes in a shade that is light enough for my skin tone and because it has a really pretty effect. The Catrice foundations are definitely worth checking out.
When it comes to eyeshadow I have mixed feelings. I do like the Liquid Metal eyeshadows by Catrice and this All About Chocolates palette, but I’m not too positive about the regular shadows and the other All About palettes.
Next up is Kiko. I’ve tried quite a lot of Kiko products  in my life and the only thing I really didn’t like was one of their foundations, but aside from that I pretty much liked everything, from their polishes to their lipsticks, everything is just fine.
The thing I like about Kiko is that they have products in different price ranges, so you can decide yourself how expensive you want it to be. I also like that no matter how pricey the product is, everything is absolutely amazing quality wise.
Onto one of my well known favourites: P2. P2 is one of my favourite budget brands because their products are genuinely budget (aka you don’t pay €8 for a foundation) and there are lots of options. With the options part I meant that there are lots of colours available per collection, so there has to be at least one shade in the collection you like.
My favourite P2 product is by far lipstick. Their lipsticks are super creamy, Â smooth, soft and pigmented. They glide onto the lips super easy and they are super comfortable to wear. They last quite long and the lipstick itself lasts quite long.
And lastly Alverde. I really like the brand Alverde because they create natural makeup products, which is not something you see that often in budget beauty world. Especially their powder products are very amazing. With powder products I mean blushes, bronzers and eyeshadows. They’re all very pigmented and really nice to work with!
And that concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which budget brands are your favourites!
XOXO, Nicole.
