Benefit has quickly become one of my favourite brands ever. I love their super adorable packagings, I love how creative they are with their names and I just love the quality of their products. Today I’m going to review yet another Benefit product. This time we’re going to talk about the Benefit Dandelion Ultra Plush Lipgloss. If you’re interested in finding out more about it, make sure you continue reading!
The Benefit Dandelion Ultra Plush Lipgloss comes in this really pretty looking clear tube. The tube has the name of the lipgloss printed on it as well as the name of the brand. Aside from that it also has an image of a dandelion on it and that is basically it. I really like the tube. It’s simple and basic but it’s elegant. I don’t think it’s one of the best packagings Benefit has ever created, but I do like the look of it.
One tube of lipgloss comes with 15 ml of lipgloss which I think is pretty standard for a lipgloss. It seems like more than enough product.
On the back of the box and the tube Benefit doesn’t give us a ton of information. The only thing we know for sure after reading the back is that this is a lipgloss. To find out what it’s supposed to do I went on the internet and found the following:
Our plush glosses glide on extra smooth and feel ahhh-mazing. The six irresistible shades, from sultry nudes to punchy pinks, come in soft-squeeze tubes with a custom tip designed for perfectly even application.
- Soft pearly pink
- Silky smooth wear
- Luxurious formula
Overall I think Benefit doesn’t make too many too daring claims and therefore I do in general agree with what Benefit said about this lipgloss. I do think that the packaging is very easy to use and the tip does help with the application. I do still prefer lipglosses with a wand, but if you buy a tube lipgloss you can’t really expect that.
Aside from that I really like the formula of the lipgloss. Like they said it feels very luxurious and it’s very comfortable to wear. It’s not too sticky or heavy and it just feels right. The only thing I feel like they could’ve improved is the pigmentation. I know that most lipglosses aren’t meant to be super pigmented, but in my opinion they could’ve at least added a bit more pigmentation.
When it comes to staying power this lipgloss isn’t too special. It stays in place for a couple of hours and after that it gradually fades away. I have nothing more to say about that.
Overall I do think that this is a pretty lipgloss and I like the way it feels on my lips, but I wouldn’t wear it on its own. For me it’s more of a product you put on top of another product, especially since it’s not that pigmented. Aside from the pigmentation I do think that the quality of the lipgloss is nice and nothing more or less than that. It’s okay!
The Benefit Dandelion Ultra Plush Lipgloss is available at stores such as Sephora and Douglas for €17,50.
That was it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know if you still wear lipgloss from time to time and if so, which lipgloss is your current favourite!
