Back when I ordered my first ever Becca blush I also got myself another gorgeous Becca product. It’s their Glow On The Go limited edition highlighter set. Because everyone is so positive about the Becca highlighters I really wanted to give it a try and I thought this was a good way to do so. If you’re interested in finding out more about this gorgeous set, make sure you keep on reading!
Let’s start off with the packaging. The little set comes in this really pretty box. The box has a bit of a pinky colour and has some shiny bits to it. On the front of the box you can see what it in there: a liquid highlighter and a pressed highlighter. The box is relatively small, but really pretty.
When you open the box up you’ll find the two products. The liquid highlighter kinda looks like a lipgloss and has a normal size. The pressed highlighter is, even though it is a travel size and therefore smaller than the regular ones, smaller than I expected. It’s really tiny but therefore very convenient for travelling.
Let’s start off with discussing the liquid highlighter. I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of liquid highlighter. I think it’s a lot of work, it gets streaky really quickly and I always forget to apply it before I apply my powder. However, I do really like the effect liquid highlighter gives. It’s definitely a great product for when you’re doing special makeup, when you want to go all out.
Becca has quite a few shades when it comes to highlighter. The shade I got is called Opal. I always thought that Opal was one of the prettiest colours in the collection, and now that I have it, I haven’t changed my mind about that. It’s absolutely stunning.
The thing I do think is a little strange is that this liquid highlighter is way more orangy or warm than the pressed highlighter is. It’s quite a warm colour and at first I didn’t really know whether I would actually like that or not. But having tried it I do have to say that it’s not a problem at all. This colour looks absolutely stunning once applied.
Again, it’s not a product I’d use everyday, but I do think it’s a really pretty highlighter and definitely a great product to have in your collection if you’re a makeup lover like I am. I like it!
Onto the most exciting part: the pressed highlighter. I really, really love pressed highlighters, especially if they are super shimmery and intense, and that’s exactly what this is. This travel sized highlighter comes in a different packaging than the normal sized highlighter does, but that doesn’t really bother me too much.
I don’t love this packaging, but I’m not in love with the original packaging either, so for me it’s no big deal.
The Becca Pressed Highlighter in Opal is just absolutely stunning. It’s not a very warm or cool toned highlighter, I feel like it’s more or a neutral colour, which makes it perfect for everyone.
Even though it’s a neutral colour, it’s not a basic colour. It’s not like that at all. In my opinion this is one of the prettiest highlighters in the world. It has lots of shimmer to it and it’s quite intense. It has that gorgeous champagny gold tone to it and it seems different every time I look at it. It’s absolutely stunning.
When it comes to pigmentation and intensity this highlighter is definitely mind blowing. I’m really impressed by its quality, it’s absolutely stunning. You don’t need much product in order to achieve that gorgeous glowy look most of us absolutely love. It only takes one, maybe two swipes and your done, which means that this little guy is going to last me forever.
It’s also a very long wearing highlighter. There’s no need to touch it up throughout the day because it stays in place all day. It does get a little less intense as the hours go by, but it’s not like it’s completely gone within four minutes. It’s definitely not like that.
Overall I think the Becca Glow On The Go Highlighter Set is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I do really get why everyone loves the Becca highlighters so much now and I have to admit that now that I know how amazing they are, I really want to buy a few more. I absolutely love it and I highly recommend giving this set or just the Becca highlighters in general a try!
The Becca Glow On The Go Highlighter set is available at Babassu and Sephora for €21,50.
