So recently I’ve fallen in love with L’Oreal skincare. It all started when I first tried the Delicate Flowers Gel-Cream Cleanser and from there there was no looking back. Especially not when L’Oreal was on sale last week. I decided to buy two more products: the Delicate Flowers Tonic and the Clay Exfoliating Gel. Today I’m going to review both of them. So if you’re interested in finding out more about these two products, I highly recommend you to keep on reading!
Let’s start off with discussing the toner. This is, like I mentioned before, from the Delicate Flowers range. I haven’t heard much from this range so far, but I personally just love it! The toner comes in a long pink bottle which looks very simple yet very elegant. I think it looks pretty professional for what it is and I like that a lot. I also like the size of the bottle. Even though it does contain 400 ml of fluid, which is quite a lot, the bottle isn’t extremely bulky or large. It’s just fine!
The whole Delicate Flowers collection by L’Oreal, or Fine Flowers as they call it in the UK, consists of products made for sensitive and dry skin. The products are very mild, they are softening and they smell really, really good.
Since I’ve been struggling with some irritation around my eye area, and some other parts of my face as well, I was quite nervous whether or not this product was going to be sensitive enough. To my surprise it didn’t tingle or sting my skin at all. The toner itself has a really nice but unique texture. It’s a fluid, but it’s a rather creamy fluid. Thanks to that it feels like satin when you apply it to the skin and that feels just incredible.
When it comes to doing its job which is getting rid of the last bits and pieces of makeup and/or getting your skin clean and ready for makeup, it’s amazing. It does everything you want it to. I personally prefer this over my Bioderma in the morning just because it’s so soft and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth which is a perfect base for my makeup.
Overall I am a huge, huge fan of this product. It was quite a big struggle for me to find the right toner for my skin that wouldn’t feel drying or painful, but I finally did it and I’m really happy about that. This is definitely a product I’d recommend to anyone struggling to find the right toner.
Onto the second product. This is the L’Oreal Exfoliating gel Pure Clay. I have heard a ton of things about the rather new Clay collection by L’Oreal, but I haven’t seen any of these gels before. When I saw them online I immediately knew I had to try at least one of them, so that’s exactly what I did.
This exfoliating gel comes in a large but slim tube. The main part of the tube is green but the bottom part is clear. Through the clear part you can see the product which is brick red. I think it does look really pretty and interesting and I definitely think L’Oreal did an amazing job on these packagings!
According to L’Oreal their Pure Clay Exfoliating Gel is supposed to cleanse, exfoliate and refine your pores. Since I have pretty large pores I felt like this was going to be a great product for me. Because of the very fine scrubbing particles in this product it is a very mild exfoliator, yet a very effective one.
The product is fairly simple to use: you just squeeze a little bit of product onto your hands, massage it onto the skin in circular motions and rinse it off. After that my skin feels like new. It’s so incredibly soft and smooth and it’s free of all dead cells that made my skin feel rough and textured.
Aside from that it also gets rid of all of my dry and flakey patches, which causes my foundation to go on smoother and overall my skin looks way better than it ever did before. I’m really impressed by this product and I’m really glad I decided to give it a chance. It’s absolutely wonderful!
Overall I’m a huge fan of both products. L’Oreal really killed it this time. The toner is just everything I was looking for. It’s soft, it smells good and it doesn’t irritate my skin. And the clay is even more wonderful. It makes my skin feel so smooth it’s almost like my skin is brand new. If you’re on the hunt for some great and affordable skincare products, you might want to consider checking these two products out!
The L’Oreal Delicate Flowers Tonic is available at the drugstore for 6,99 and the Clay Exfoliating Gel for €7,99.
That was everything for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of these two skincare products!
XOXO, Nicole.
