It has almost been two weeks since my mother and I returned from our trip to Lille. About half a year ago I decided I wanted to Lille and I wanted to go there with my mother. I asked her and she agreed so we planned the trip and almost two weeks ago we actually went there. Today I’m going to write a short travel diary on our trip, so if you’re interested in reading about Lille, finding out what is was like and if it’s worth to go there, make sure you continue reading!
Day 1. The Arrival
We decided to go there on a Sunday. I don’t really remember why, but we did. We arrived around 4 o’ clock but it took us almost an hour to find the parking area of the hotel and actually park the car. After we finally did that we checked in, went to our room and not long after that we headed out for dinner.
I saw they had a Pizza Hut there, which is a restaurant I really enjoy and don’t go that often, so we decided to go there. According to Google it was about a 10 to 20 minute walk. I’m pretty sure it took us about half an hour because we got a little lost, but we managed to find it and ate a delicious pizza.
After that we had to head home. This didn’t go as well as we planned. It took us an hour to find our way back to the hotel. An hour! You could say we had seen the whole city by then, but because we ended up walking through pretty boring streets we didn’t really see a lot.
Day 2. Shop, shop, shop
The second day was all about shopping. I didn’t really plan out this trip so we just did what we felt like. We ended up going to Euralille, which is a huge mall right next to our hotel. It had a ton of shops and it was absoluteley amazing. They even had a Sephora, Hollister and lot’s of other amazing stores I really enjoy shopping at.
Around noon we had seen pretty much everything and decided to head into the city to shop at some pharmacies. We came across a huge pharmacy where I bought a ton of amazing goodies you have been reading about for the last week or two on my blog. It was absolutely amazing there!
Day 3. More shopping
Day 3 was pretty much our last whole day in Lille. This day was all about buying the things from my wishlist I hadn’t bought yet. We also went to Brandy Melville, my mom bought some souvenirs and I bought an outfit for a party I’m going to be attending soon. It was pretty cold outside that day but it still was a great day!
At the end of that day we decided to go somewhere to eat and we ended up going to a restaurant called Hippopotamus. It looked pretty fun and the food ended up tasting absolutely amazing.
Day 4. Heading home
Day four was our last day. The night before we had already packed most of our stuff and this day all we did was pack the rest of our stuff, head to Euralille for dinner and go back home. Even though it was the last day and we didn’t do that much, it still was a great day because of the amazing crepe I ate for breakfast that morning. I still miss that restaurant, it was amazing!
And that pretty much concludes this little travel diary. I know it’s not super detailed, but I hope you enjoyed reading it anyway. Thank you so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which city you enjoy going to for a little shopping vacation!
XOXO, Nicole.
