Get Into That Autumnal Vibe With The Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar 3-Wick Candle!

11/09/2018

I‘m pretty sure I’m alone in this, but ever since I was a young teenager watching American beauty guru’s I’ve always wanted to have a Bath & Body Works Three Wick Candle. They were burning in the background of every single Youtuber at some point in time and they always seemed like the amazing piece of room decor to me. Sadly we don’t have a Bath & Body Works in the Netherlands, but Poland does have one or two. So, when I was on vacation to Warsaw, I finally ended up buying a Bath & Body Works candle. I ended up going for the Warm Vanilla Sugar scent. I have been burning it quite a bit lately, so I think it’s about time for me to speak up about it. If you want to know whether or not these candles are as amazing as the beauty gurus made them look, make sure you continue reading!

Let’s start off by talking about the main reason why I always wanted one of these candles: the packaging. The Bath & Body Works 3-Wick candles come in these really pretty big, round jars. The bottom part is made out of glass, decorated with a very pretty design. And the lid is made out of some kind of metal like material and it’s silver. The overall look of the candle is really pretty. I do think that they  have had prettier designs on some of their candles than this one, but I still really like the way this candle looks. I think that the golden details are stunning, especially in dimmed light when the candle is burning.

Another thing I really appreciate about the packaging is the fact that the lid doesn’t get really hot when you use it to blow out the candle. When I want to dim it, I just put the lid on top of the jar. I have done this with different candles in the past, which resulted in lots of burned hands because the lid got so incredibly hot so quickly, but with this candle that isn’t the case. The plus side of doing this, is that the wax won’t evaporate in the air, but it will stay inside the candle which means that you’ll be able to burn it for much longer than you otherwise would.

Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar 3-Wick Candle – €24,95

Obviously Bath & Body Works has a lot of choice when it comes to their candles. Like half of the store is covered in all different candles. It is pretty overwhelming and if you do think it’s hard to make choices this will be a time consuming task. But for it was easy. From the moment I smelled this one, I liked it and decided to just go for this one and not look any further.

The scent is called Warm Vanilla Sugar and I do think that’s a very appropriate name for this candle. It really does have that warm vanilla scent to it, but also a touch of sweetness. According to the website the top notes in this scent are sheer florals, vanilla absolute and sandalwood. I have not a lot of knowledge when it comes to scents so I can’t really say whether I agree or not, but what I do know is that it does smell really amazing and it’s the perfect candle to burn when you really feel like getting into that cozy, comfy mood. It really suits that kind of setting.

When I read the description of the candle I also found out that Bath & Body Works is making some claims regarding this product. According to them these candles are made with very concentrated scent oils, an exclusive mix of plant based wax and the best quality of lead-free wicks. These candles are supposed to melt evenly and be strong enough to fill the entire room with scent. In addition to that they also claim that it will burn from 25 up to 45 hours.

I have to say that I think that burning hours claim is a bit vague. I mean there is a huge difference between 25 hours and 45 hours. What causes this difference? I don’t know. I have to say that mine isn’t burned up just yet, but so far I’ve burned it a good couple of hours and you can’t really tell that much is gone so far. So it does seem like a candle that will last me for a good couple of months.

When it comes to the strength of the scent I do agree with what Bath & Body Works is saying. It is a scent that is rather strong and will definitely fill the room. And I like that. I hate it when I get a scented candle and it hardly smells like anything when you burn it. However, I also don’t like it when they get too strong because that causes me to get headaches. This candle is on the stronger side of the spectrum, but so far it hasn’t given me a headache at all. It’s strong enough to smell good, but it’s nothing too extreme. Luckily.

Overall I’m really happy I finally decided to get one of the famous Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candles. They aren’t super cheap, but considering how long they will last you I do think they are worth it. The scent is very beautiful and also rather unique, you won’t find that at like a grocery store or whatever. And I love that this candle is strong enough to fill the entire room with a nice scent. All in all I think it is worth it, and I’ll definitely buy another one once this one is all burned up.

That’s everything I had to say about this stunning candle. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review, and be sure to let me know what you think of these B&BW candles and whether you’d want one too!

Wat ziet hij er mooi uit! En de geur zou ook echt iets voor mij zijn! Ik zou ook graag eens een keer een Bath & Bodyworks kaars willen kopen, alleen de winkel bezoeken lijkt mij al leuk.
