The Amazingly Gorgeous Bath & Body Works Shower Gels

13/08/2017

Ever since I’ve started watching American beauty guru’s (which is a long time ago), I’ve been wanting to try out some of the products from Bath And Body Works. All of the girls in the videos had them and they looked absolutely adorable. But because we don’t have one here in the Netherlands, it never happened. Until I stumbled upon a Bath And Body Works store in Warsaw. Because it has been a dream of mine to get some of their products for so long I went a little wild and ended up buying three of their shower gels. After testing them thoroughly, it’s time for me to review these three cuties. If you’re interested in finding out more about them, make sure you continue reading!

Like I said I bought three of the Bath And Body Works shower gels. They have a lot of scents, like a lot, so it was very hard for me to cut it down to three. I ended up buying two scents from the Christmas range – even though Christmas still is a couple months away – because I really love Christmas. The other scent I got is from the normal collection.

But before we jump into the review, I do quickly want to mention something regarding these shower gels. I absolutely loved all of the scents they had there, there wasn’t a single one I didn’t like, but it does really remind me of the time where I was completely in love with Victoria’s Secret body care and bought a ton of it, but ended up never using it because the scents were a little too young for me. I’m telling you that because when I was smelling all of the shower gels deep inside I was a little scared that that would happen to these shower gels too. A couple weeks in I found out it isn’t like that (just yet), but you never know.

Bath & Body Works Shower Gels

Anyway, let’s start discussing the products shall we? The first one I want to discuss is the one from the regular collection. The scent is called Magic In The Air and it comes in a gorgeously shaped bottle. The bottle has a nice size and shape and the main part is clear. The lid is silver and the middle part of the lid, which is the movable part, is white. I really like the system of it, it works really well and it does add some sort of a luxurious feeling to the whole product in my opinion.

The design on the front of the bottle is really pretty as well. Actually all of the shower gels from Bath & Body Works have this nice little design on the front. I think that’s something that makes these shower gels stand out from the rest. I’ve never had a shower gel that looked as pretty as this one does.

Bath & Body Works Magic Is In The Air Shower Gel – €12,95

Enough about the packaging, let’s start talking about the actual product. The Magic Is In The Air Shower Gel has Shea and vitamin E in it and smells like almond flower, white iris and whipped vanilla. That does sound very promising, but I don’t think that it makes it very clear what this shower gel actually smells like. As you guys know I’m pretty terrible at describing scents, but I’m going to try my best.

According to me this shower gel is a pretty sweet one. It has some floral notes to it, but also something warm and calming. That combination really caught my attention. It’s one of those cosy scents that will make you feel clean and taken care of. In my opinion it’s the perfect scent for all year round because it has a little bit of everything.

Aside from the scent I feel like the shower gel itself is really nice too. A little bit of product goes a very long way, which is great because it’s a rather expensive shower gel. The shower gel obviously is perfumed, but I don’t feel like it’s very drying. It also doesn’t irritate my skin and it’s not too harsh.

Moving on to the second shower gel called Jingle All The Way. It seams like I’ve been using this a ton, but sadly that’s not the case. It actually leaked in my suitcase on the way home from Warsaw to the Netherlands. Somehow the lid opened and almost a quarter of the product spilled. Luckily I put all of the shower gels inside a plastic bag so my clothes weren’t completely ruined, but I do think it’s a waste.

Anyway, Jingle All The Way. I think you have guessed it already but this is from the Christmas collection. The shower gel comes in the same bottle as the previous one did, but instead of a silver lid this one has a green-blueish lid. It also has a more festive design on the front and the shower gel itself is has the same colour as a Christmas tree.

Bath & Body Works Shower Gel in Jingle All The Way – €12,95

The Jingle All The Way shower gel is one of my favourites from the Christmas collection. Most of the Christmas scents have a very unique – definitely Christmas related – scent, but they are quite strong and not all of them are strong and unique in a good way. This one is still Christmassy, but a little toned down. You could describe it as a normal shower gel with a little Christmas sprinkled in it. That might be the best way to describe it.

The scent is, just like pretty much every other Bath & Body Works shower gel, pretty sweet. It does smell very fresh. According to Bath & Body Works this shower gel also has Shea and vitamin E in it and they say it smells like iced clementine, sparkling snowflakes and blue spruce. I have to say that I don’t know what most of that means, but that could also be a way to describe it.

Just like the Magic In The Air shower gel, this shower gels isn’t drying, irritating or harsh at all. It’s very soft and gentle actually and it leaves the skin feeling really nice and clean. I’m a fan of that!

Moving on to the last shower gel of the bunch. This one is called Fresh Sparkling Snow and it’s also from the Christmas collection. Again, it has a similar bottle as the other two shower gels and just like the Magic In The Air shower gel it has a silver lid. The design on the front was one of the things that drew me towards this shower gel. It looks so pretty and it just makes crave the Christmas season even more. I just couldn’t resist it.

Having told you guys that the Jingle All The Way shower gel leaked in my bag, you might think that this one leaked too because it’s not completely full either. Luckily that’s not the case. This one I already used a couple of times back in Poland before I realised I still had to take pictures of it and it might look prettier when it’s still completely full. I’m sorry for that!

Bath & Body Works Shower Gel in Fresh Sparkling Snow – €12,95

According to Bath & Body Works this also is a shower gel infused with Shea and vitamin E (like probably all of their shower gels are) and they say it smells like iced pear, snowdrop blossom and frosted musk. I have to say they do a great job at making these shower gels sound super interesting because those scent descriptions are very detailed and unique, but I do like that about it.

In my opinion this is another sweet yet fresh smelling shower gel. But what I like about it is that it’s not super sweet, especially if you compare it to the other two. If you’re not that into sweet scents this will probably be your favourite because it’s like a lot less sweet. Aside from that the scent really reminds me of snow, which is unique because snow usually doesn’t really smell like anything, and it just gives me a really cosy yet fresh feeling.

And again, like I mentioned before, this shower gel is really nice when it comes to the quality. But aside from the texture being great, I also like the fact that the scent actually lingers. Most shower gels are gone before you even step out of the shower, but this one really stays with you throughout the day. If you’re not a fan of strong scents that might be a negative thing for you, but I really like that about these shower gels.

Overall I’m really happy I bought these three shower gels and I’m actually a little disappointed in myself for not buying more. I expected these shower gels to just be pretty and very sweet, but nothing more than that. I didn’t expect the scents to be too unique or impressive and I didn’t have very high expectations of the quality. Of course these shower gels aren’t the cheapest ones on earth, but the whole concept did remind me of the Victoria’s Secret body care concept a little bit and I’m just not a big fan of that kinda thing anymore.

Luckily these shower gels have something way more unique to them. Of course they look good, but they smell good too and the scents are definitely not basic. They are very one of a kind which makes it more okay to spend a bit more on them. Aside from that I like that you only need a little bit of them to wash your entire body and I really love that the scent actually lingers.

Yup, these are definitely favourites of mine. Even though it started off as fulfilling my teenage dreams, I actually have fallen in love with them now. Not just because of the looks, but also because of the quality. So, if you ever find yourself in a Bath & Body Works store or if you find them anywhere online and you’re willing to spend a little more on your shower gel, I highly recommend them! They are great!

And that’s everything I have to say about these three beauties. I hope you enjoyed reading this review and be sure to let me know if you have ever tried any of the Bath & Body Works shower gels and if so, be sure to let me know which scent is your absolute favourite!

I love these! I still have a ton of when I lived in the states and I just do not want to use them for the exact reason that we do not have them here
