Bath & Body Works Body Vanilla Bean Noel & Magic In The Air Body Lotions

06/09/2017

A couple of weeks ago I reviewed my first ever Bath & Body Works Shower Gels. I have always dreamed of having some of their shower gels so I was absolutely over the moon about them. But I didn’t just buy shower gels, I also bought two body lotions from their collection. Today I’m going to review both of them and tell you guys everything there is to know about them. If you’re interested in reading about that, make sure you continue reading this post!

Both of the Bath & Body Works Body Lotions come in these really pretty bottles. They have a rather unique shape, which I like, and a really pretty design on the front. All of the Bath & Body Works body lotions as well as shower gels come in these packagings, at least most of them, and I like that. I think that this packaging has a very luxurious feel to it and I just love the way it looks. It’s classy but still fun and playful. I’m a big fan of it! The size of the bottle is perfect as well. It contains 236 ml of product which is rather normal.

There were a lot of different scents to choose from in the Bath & Body Works store. So many it might have been a little overwhelming. Because I was limited to a certain suitcase weight (because I went by plane) I didn’t want to go all out so I ended up buying two bottles for myself and one for my mother.

The first scent I picked up is the famous Vanilla Bean Noel. This is a scent from their Christmas collection and for some unknown reason they still had it so as a Christmas lover it was more than logical for me to take it. It’s also one of the scents I was most curious about because it’s such a popular one. Normally I’m not that big of a fan of the scent of vanilla, especially not in beauty product, but for some reason this scent was actually one I liked.

I do have to say that it’s a very unique scent. It’s definitely quite a festive scent but not a traditional festive one. My boyfriend thought it smelled like cookies and I do agree with that in a way. It’s quite a sweet scent but not as sweet as the shower gels I bought for example. It’s sweet in a vanilla kind of way. It’s also a very warm scent which is my favourite type of scent. It’s hard for me to describe but it’s just a vanilla scent with something more to it. The vanilla isn’t too overpowering and I think that’s why I like it so much.

The body lotion itself has a bit of a green tint to it. I do like the look of that, even though that obviously doesn’t really matter a lot. The body lotion has a very nice texture. It’s definitely a very moisturising one, but it isn’t too thick or too heavy. It’s very speadable so you only need a little bit to cover an entire part of your body in product, which I always think is a great thing.

Aside from that it’s also a very soft and smooth body lotion. It has something buttery or creamy to it, but not in a greasy way at all. It just feels very nice on the skin and even a little bit luxurious.

Overall I’m a huge fan of the Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel Body Lotion. I’m loving the scent, the packaging looks absolutely adorable and the texture of the body lotion is great as well. The scent is also quite strong so it does linger, but not in a way where it interferes with your perfume for example.

Moving on to the other body lotion I bought. This one is called Magic In The Air. I also got a matching shower gel which I reviewed a while ago. This scent spoke to me from the second I smelled it. I have to admit that lots of scents at Bath & Body Works smell great, but lots do smell very much alike. This one had something unique to it which is why I thought it was worth spending some money on.

The Magic In The Air body lotion has a very nice and unique scent to it. It’s much sweeter than Vanilla Bean Noel is and not as warm since that really is a winter product and this one is more of an all year round scented product. According to Bath & Body Works this is supposed to smell like Almond Flower, White Iris and Whipped Vanilla. I could see that, but I do think it’s that plus a bit of sweetness.

What I like about the scent is that it’s a combination of warmth and freshness. The almond adds a nice and warm touch to the scent, but the white iris makes it more fresh. It’s a really good combination!

Just like the Vanilla Bean Noel body lotion this one has a very nice texture to it. It does spread out just as easily, but it is a little tiny bit less creamy than Vanilla Bean Noel is. I don’t really know if it’s a fact, but from my experience the Magic In The Air body lotion is a little more lightweight and a little more thin in texture. It still is a very moisturising body lotion, but a tad bit less than Vanilla Bean Noel is.

I also feel like the scent of Magic In The Air is a little less strong compared to Vanilla Bean Noel. The scent does still linger, but not as much as the scent of Vanilla Bean Noel. It’s just a little bit more toned down and fresh. And in my opinion that’s definitely not a bad thing at all. Sometimes you want something very rich and moisturising and at other times you prefer more lightweight products.

Overall I’m really happy with the two Bath & Body Works body lotions that I bought. Looking back I wish I had bought more of them, but well, two isn’t nothing either. Both scents smell absolutely amazing and the quality of the body lotions is pretty impressive. I expected these to smell nice but not to be special in any way when it comes to quality, but they really are amazing and definitely worth the money!

And that’s basically everything for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of these body lotions and if you’re familiar with the Bath & Body Works body lotions, please let me know which scent you’d recommend to me and why!
