One of the most exciting products I bought in Germany is by far this Balea Body Mousse. When I first saw it online I was already quite excited about it, but when I tried it on my skin I was sold. I had to buy it. I ended up buying two tubs (one for at home, one for at my bf’s place) and I’ve been using it an awful lot. Today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out more about this product, make sure you continue reading!
The Balea Body Mousse comes in this light greenish tub. It’s made out of plastic and it feels really nice. On the lid you’ll find a sticker with a bit of information regarding this product and that’s basically it for the packaging. It’s very clean, very simple, very minimalistic and I really like it. It’s nothing too special, but for a budget brand like Balea I think they did pretty well.
This tub contains 250 ml which is a pretty normal amount when it comes to body lotions, butters, creams and mousses.
There is only one scent of body mousse available, which is the scent of jojoba and grape seed oil. It’s a very unique scent, I haven’t seen it before, but it sounds to me like the perfect combination of scents for summer. During the summer time I always go for fresh and light scents. Nothing too sweet, nothing too heavy, preferably a little bit fruity. This body mousse is basically all that.
The scent isn’t too overwhelming. It’s there, but it won’t interfere with the scent of your perfume for example. It’s refreshing. It almost smells and feels cooling. I think this is a really amazing product to use after a day of sunbathing.
The thing that made me want to buy this product so bad is the texture. You really have to feel it in order to understand, but since most of you probably can’t go ahead and feel it I’ll try to describe it as clearly as possible. The texture of the product is very light and really like a mousse. It doesn’t feel heavy, greasy or thick on the skin. It feels feather light.
Aside from that it also feels very cooling and soothing. It’s feels like you’re refreshing and cooling down your skin, which feels really nice. It’s relaxing, calming and super soft and it sinks in within a minute.
Aside from being a cooling and lightweight product, this product also moisturises the skin. It’s not a very thick and intense moisturising product but that’s what I like about it. Of course you do need your moisture during the summer time. The sun can be quite drying to the skin. But during the summer time I don’t feel like lathering on tons and tons of moisture. I’d rather have something lightweight with just a bit of moisture.
Overall I don’t have a lot of negative things to say about this product. The only teeny tiny downside is that you do need quite a bit of product to moisturise your entire body so it won’t last you as long as some other products. But considering the price that’s not a real big deal, is it?
Overall I really like this body mousse. I don’t have many products like it and it works really well for me, especially now during the summer. It’s lightweight, the texture is incredibly nice and that in combination with the perfect summery scent makes this the most amazing summer body product ever. I absolutely love it!
The Balea Body Mousse is available at DM for €1,95.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know which body mousse or butter you enjoy using during the summer time!
