Autumn is here and I’m extremely excited about it. It’s my favourite season of the year so I’m already all about the autumnal makeup products and decoration. To spice up my pictures for autumn I went to the store to pick up some goodies and used them in today’s shots. But that’s not the point of this post. In today’s post I’m going to show you some makeup items I use to give my makeup look a more autumnal spice to it. So, if you want to see what my autumn-proof makeup favourites are, you should make sure you keep on reading this post!
Let’s start off with a non-makeup item. At first I didn’t really plan on including it, but when I saw it and realised how autumnal it is and how often I use it during the colder months I felt like I had to include it anyway. This is one of the most recently launched Chanel perfumes. It’s not that new anymore, I bought it like almost a year ago, but it’s still a huge favourite. It’s called Gabrielle and it’s definitely a very unique scent. It doesn’t necessarily need to be worn in autumn, you can also rock it during summer, but it is a rather warm scent. Because of that I actually hardly ever wear it during summer and can’t stop wearing it during autumn and winter.
The scent is pretty strong and out there and during the colder months I can appreciate that. Like I said it’s a very warm scent which gives you that cozy, comfy feeling. It makes me feel calm and relaxed. Because it’s a strong scent I would recommend not using too much of it at a time because that could result in a headache. Aside from that I’m head over heels with this perfume. It’s one of my favourite purchases ever!
Chanel Gabrielle 50 ml – €103
Moving on to the first makeup pick. This is an eyeshadow palette (as you can tell) and it’s super autumnal. Usually I don’t like to wear very warm, orangy shades like the ones in this palette. I feel like they don’t suit me and accentuate my blemishes. However, I am a huge fan of the Tarte Tartelette palettes and during autumn I do occasionally like to make an exception and actually use this palette.
The rusty orange/reddish shades just have something unique to them. These are shadows you won’t find in your everyday nude palette, even though they are nice and wearable. That in combination with the warm bronzy gold shade that comes in this palette and the dark matte eggplant shade makes this palette the perfect autumn proof eyeshadow palette that definitely is an essential in your makeup collection!
Tarte Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette – €39
Next up are three of my absolute lip favourites for autumn. Let’s start off with a tinted lip balm, the Dior Lip Glow in the purple shade. Because it’s a tinted lip balm rather than a lipstick the colour is a bit on the sheer side and therefore it’s still wearable. But it does have that purple tone to it, which makes it very autumnal at the same time. To top that all off it also does an amazing job at hydrating your lips, which is very important when it starts to get colder outside, and it’s super comfortable to wear and very longlasting. Definitely a musthave for autumn!
The next lipstick is also by Dior. This is one of their Lacquer Sticks in the shade L.A. Pink. I got this from my mom for my birthday last year and I loved wearing it throughout autumn. It’s an extremely pigmented lipstick with a very unique texture. It really is like a lip lacquer in stick form. Because of that it’s super longlasting and the colour is just perfect for your everyday autumn look.
The last lipstick is by YSL, as you can probably tell by the packaging. These YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks are super amazing because they have the softest, creamiest and most comfortable textures ever. They are hydrating and this particular colour is just the best. It’s called Smoking Plum and I’ve been wearing it a lot lately!
Moving on to a face palette. This is the NARSissist Unfiltered I Cheek Palette. I also got this about a year ago and I have used it a ton during the colder months. It’s just a very pretty palette full of really pretty autumnal blush colours and a highlighting shade. This palette might not look extremely appealing to you at first sight. Believe me, I didn’t love it when I first saw it too. However, if you look at these colours individually they are all just gorgeous. And I love every single one of them. Some might look very bright and scary, but when used with a light hand they can still look very natural on the skin.
The quality of these blushes is just amazing and that’s what makes this palette totally worth the price. Especially the matte blush shades on the bottom row are very autumnal looking. They have this nice purply tone to them that I just love. I can’t wait to start wearing them more often throughout the upcoming months. This palette really is worth every penny!
NARSissist Unfiltered I Cheek Palette – €45
The last product I wanted to show you is one of my all time favourite eyeshadow palettes. I have had this palette for a very long time now and I just keep coming back to it because it’s just so amazing. Not only the colours that come inside this palette are great, but the quality of them is just phenomenal. These eyeshadows are so soft, rich and creamy and just a dream to work with. Really, if I could only have one eyeshadow palette, chances are that I’d choose this one.
This palette is filled with lots of neutrals and a few pops of colour here and there. Especially the cranberry shade and the golden tone from the bottom row are very autumn-proof in my book and I’ve been using them a lot throughout the last couple of weeks. These shadows create such a warm and cozy look that I just love wearing. And by the way, this palette smells really good too, like chocolate! Even more reason to get it!
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette – €43,99
