Two weeks ago, when I was in the drugstore with my friend, I decided I was in need of a new shampoo. Even though I really like the one I used before, I just felt the need to switch it up for once. After debating on which shampoo to get I finally ended up buying the Aussie Daily Clean Shampoo. The one I really wasn’t thinking of buying. Because I have very difficult hair that gets greasy in a split second if I use the wrong shampoo, shampoo is quite a big deal for me. Therefore I felt like I needed to review this one for people like me who struggle with severe grease problems when it comes to hair. If you’re interested in finding out how I ended up liking it, make sure you continue reading!
So, first things first, the packaging. Like all Aussie hair products, this one comes in a very classic packaging. The bottle itself has a bit of an off-white colour to it and the lid and some other details are purple. It also has baby kangaroos printed around the top of the bottle which I think is an absolutely adorable detail. I really like that.
Aussie has quite a few ranges of hair products. Because I wash my hair daily I decided to go for the Aussie Daily Clean shampoo because this one is okay to use on a daily basis. This shampoo doesn’t contain any silicones and therefore it’s the perfect shampoo for my hair.
One very prominent thing about this shampoo is the scent. And to be completely honest with you, I don’t like it. Luckily it isn’t a smell that will linger in your hair for that long, but it’s just not my favourite. This shampoo smells really, really sweet. Almost a bit like bubble gum. I know that lots of people love that, but I don’t. I just don’t.
Having said that, let’s move onto the shampoo itself. This shampoo, like I said, doesn’t have silicones in it. Silicones aren’t necessarily a bad thing for your hair, they make your hair feel really soft and smooth and they add that nice shine to it. But if you have greasy hair like me silicones can be your worst enemy. Silicones are the reason my hair got super greasy. Now that I’ve cut those out of my life, my hair is in a way better condition and won’t get as greasy all the time.
The texture of the shampoo is pretty basic. It’s a gelly formula that has a bit of an odd colour to it. It doesn’t look that appealing. But luckily we don’t have to eat it, so that’s not a very big deal in my opinion. The product does feel really nice on my head. It feels like it’s really thoroughly washing my hair and I really feel like this shampoo gets rid of every piece of dirt and oil on my head. Well not every piece of oil, cause then my head would be incredibly dry, but you get the point. It makes my hair feel really clean.
Because it did feel so cleansing, I was a bit scared it would make my hair feel and look very dry. Silicone free shampoo’s tend to have that ‘dry’ feeling to them because your hair isn’t coated in that soft and satiny ingredient, but that doesn’t mean your hair won’t look soft and satiny.
This shampoo actually makes my hair look amazing. It feels very light weight and it makes my hair feel very movable and healthy. It’s really hard to describe but it’s just very bouncy and lively. I really like the look of that. Aside from that my hair looks shiny too, but not overly shiny, which I like.
My hair is just in a way better condition ever since I started using this shampoo and I’m really glad that it is. It feels like it has never felt before and I flippin’ love it. It’s amazing.
So yup, I love this shampoo. Even though I don’t like the smell a bit, it just really works for my hairtype. My hair looks healthy, bouncy and alive and it hasn’t been greasy in ages thanks to this wonderful product. It’s hands down the best shampoo I have tried so far and therefore I highly recommend this, especially to those who struggle with greasy hair as well!
The Aussie Daily Clean Shampoo is available at the drugstore for €6,99.
That was it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which shampoo you enjoy using the most!
XOXO, Nicole.
