Today is the last day of April which means it’s my sisters birthday and that it’s time for another monthly favourites post. April has been a hectic month for me due to exams and all the stress that comes with that, but that definitely doesn’t mean it wasn’t a great month. This month I have bought more clothing than I ever have and I have bought a new phone. Aside from that I have rediscovered some old favourites and during the upcoming month I’m about to discover some new favourites too. Because it has been such a busy month this month’s favourites won’t be fully loaded with tons of products, but I still felt like it’s worth to show the things I did love throughout the month. Anyway, let’s stop rambling and start talking about the favourites!
Well let’s start off with a very obvious favourite: my new phone. I bought an Iphone 6 Plus and I love it. I have secretly always wanted an Iphone but I never actually had one. Now I do and I love it. New phones are always amazing but this one really impressed me. It’s super quick, it has a ton of storage and it just looks and feels great. It did take some getting used to since I did use Android before this, but it wasn’t that big of a deal at all.
Along with the phone I bought a couple of cases to protect it. I love shopping for phone cases and I always end up buying more than I really need, but that’s okay. My favourite one finally came in last week and it’s absolutely adorable. It’s clear and it has little bunnies all over it.
Moving on to some beauty favourites. One of the products I rediscovered is this is my Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter stick. I used to have mixed feelings about highlighting sticks but this highlighter really changed the game for me. It’s one of the most stunning highlighters in the entire world, especially if you pair it with a powder highlighter. It’s settle, it has a really pretty glow and it just looks incredible on the skin.
I’ve also rediscovered an eyeshadow palette of mine. Back when I bought it I felt like it was a bit of a disappointment since the colours just didn’t match my style back then. But lately I’ve started using it again and only now I realise how gorgeous it actually is. I’m talking about the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I have been using it more than ever lately and I’m really happy about that.
My next favourite is by Clinique. It’s their Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector. I bought this quite a while ago and I was disappointed by the fact that the tube is so incredibly small, which is why I ended up hardly ever using it. I didn’t want to waste it. Recently I changed my mind about that. Why have something and not use it. What’s the point in that? I started using it again and I fell in love with it.
I have pretty large and visible pores and I feel like this product is basically the only thing that can tackle that. But it’s not only great and dealing with enlarged pores, it also acts as a great primer for the rest of your makeup. It makes my foundation look a lot better, especially on the nose area and it makes it last a lot longer. It is quite pricey for such a small amount of product, but in my opinion it’s worth it!
Next up is another eyeshadow palette. I got this palette from my mom for Christmas. It’s the Nars And God Created The Women palette. I did use it back then and I did really like it, but it wasn’t until a couple of weeks ago that I really started loving it in the way it should be loved. This palette has everything in it that you can possibly need for an everyday eyeshadow look as well as for a party look. The shadows are very pigmented and they are so easy to work with. I really want to try some more Nars eyeshadows now!
Mascara is an essential in my makeup routine. A while ago I fell in love with two amazingly gorgeous budget proof mascaras, but this month I went back to my old love: the Lancome Grandiose mascara. It’s way to expensive for what it is but my lord. Nothing is better than this. The wand is more perfect than I could’ve wished for and it makes my lashes look so incredibly good. It’s unreal. I don’t like splurging on mascara, but this one really is worth the splurge!
That concludes the makeup part of this favourites post. Let’s move on to some fashion items. Like I said I have bought more clothes than ever this month. The reason why I have been doing that is because I have discovered an app called United Wardrobe which I’m totally addicted to. It’s basically an app where you can sell your clothes and buy clothes from other people. I initially set up an account to sell things, but I ended up buying a ton of things instead.
One of my favourite pieces is this sweater from Brandy Melville. It has a gorgeous orangy-yellow colour and it is the softest thing I have ever felt in my entire life. It’s extremely comfortable and it just looks really good. The quality of the sweater is really nice and stays nice and all together it’s just the perfect sweater.
And that sweater isn’t the only item I have fallen in love with on United Wardrobe, there are at least 5 other items. Since I’m not a fashion blogger I’m not going to go through all of them but if you really want to see them you might want to check out my Instagram where I’ll probably post pictures soon of me wearing those items.
And that concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which items have become your favourites throughout the month of April!
