One of the first Lush products I ever bought (or remember) is the Lush Rock Star Soap. Back when I was younger I was all about the Lush soaps. I don’t know why because I never used solid soap, but I loved them. And they were very much talked about. Maybe that’s part of the reason. Anyway, Rock Star was a scent I really loved and therefore I bought a piece of it years ago. It has been years and by now I don’t think that bar of soap is so fresh anymore so I decided to buy another piece. Even if it’s just to embrace the nostalgia that it has. I’ve actually been using it quite a bit and therefore I’m going to review it today. So if you’re interested in reading more about this adorable and amazing smelling star shaped soap, make sure you continue reading this post!
Back in the day the Rock Star soap from Lush was just like any other soap, shaped like a bar. Nowadays they only have it in star-shaped pieces. The same soap, just a different shape. I do think that it looks pretty darn cute so I definitely don’t hate the shape it is in now. The size of the soap is really decent. If you buy this star-shaped soap, you’ll receive about 75 to 100 grams of product. It depends on where you order it from. I ordered mine from the UK website. On there they claim you’ll get 75 grams. When you look at the Dutch website though, they say you’ll be getting 100 grams of product. Strange…
Anyway, the thing that attracts me to this soap is obviously the colour. I can lie about it, I can think of excuses for it, but I just really love the pink colour. I think it’s girly and fun looking and I like that a lot. It’s also a very good smelling product, but more on that later.
Personally I do have to admit that I don’t regularly use a normal kind of soap like this one. But somehow I felt like I was actually going to be using this a lot. It’s just a nostalgic thing to me since this was one of the first things I ever bought from Lush and because I liked the scent so much.

Okay, let’s talk scent. According to Lush, their Rock Star soap smells like creamy, sweet vanilla. I have to say that I wouldn’t describe it as vanilla myself at first, but now that they say that I do get where they are coming from. The thing is that this is a very sweet smelling product so you don’t think of something creamy and warm scent like vanilla at first. Anyway, I do think that this is a scent you have to like. Because it’s so sweet I don’t think it’s for everybody. However, I don’t think it’s sweet like lemonade, it does have more depth to it. But still, not everybody likes sweet scents.
In terms of using the soap I’m actually surprised at how easy it is. I don’t even known why I never use soap anymore. I totally rediscovered it. I just make it wet, move it in between my hands or rub it across my skin directly. The soap that comes off of it I use to cleanse my skin. The lovely thing about it is that it’s a rather hydrating and soft feeling soap. It does have quite a lot of perfume in it, but it’s not drying at all.
Because it’s a soap it’s not just for using in the shower, you can also place it on your sink and use it as a hand soap. I think this makes this soap very versatile and easy to use. And if you end up not liking the solid soap thing, you can always turn it into a liquid soap or shower gel. Just google for a tutorial and go for it. It seems rather easy!
All in all I do really love the Lush Rock Star Soap. I’m totally back in love with it again. I used to love it while I was younger and I totally get why. It’s a super amazing scent. It’s really sweet but also has a touch of vanilla to it. And it’s pink and super easy to use. What’s not to love about this bright coloured, good smelling star?!
With that being said I think it’s about time to end today’s post. Thank you guys so much for reading it, and be sure to let me know what you think of the Lush Rock Star soap and also let me know if you ever use soap or not!
