Quite a long time ago (to be exact: back in October) I purchased this really pretty baked bronzer duo by Alverde. Alverde is one of my favourite budget brands and because I love their blushes so much, I decided to try another face product by their brand. I ended up going for this duo since I know that products like these are pretty popular now and I was curious to see whether or not it’s any good. If you’re interested in finding out, make sure you keep on reading!
The Alverde Baked Bronzer Duo comes in a very pretty packaging. Just like all of the other Alverde packagings, this one is made out of green plastic. The green represents the fact that Alverde is a natural brand. I like that about it, and I like the colour green.
Inside the packaging is one big ass baked powder. Half of it is brown and half of it is beige-ish. As most of you are probably aware of right now, the brown side is meant for bronzing up your skin or shaping and the beigy side is meant to highlight the skin. It’s not rocket science really, but I felt like it would be nice for me to mention for those of you who are new to makeup.
Let’s start off with discussing the product. First things first: the highlighter part. The highlighter that comes in this duo is pretty unique. It’s not like anything I have in my collection, that because this one is matte. I have never seen nor used a matte highlighter before, but I have to say I like it. It’s perfect for those days when I’m really going for that matte look. It still adds that highlighting effect, but it’s just not shimmery.
The bronzer is quite dark for me. At first I was scared it would be a bit too dark for me, but it ended up being just fine. Just like the highlighter, this bronzer is matte. It’s perfect for shaping your face and adding a bit of colour to the skin. It’s perfect for everyday use.
Pigmentation wise this duo bronzer is perfect. I don’t like it when bronzers are extremely pigmented because I feel like it’s way too easy to go wrong with it if they are, but they shouldn’t be too sheer either. This one is right inbetween both and I like that a lot about it. It’s easy to work with, blendable, buildable and it goes on really evenly. All together it’s a great product!
The highlighter part is just as amazing. It’s very easy to work with, it’s settle and natural, but it does what you want a highlighter to do. I really like that about it.
Overall I think the Alverde Baked Duo Bronzer is a great product. It’s super convenient to have both your bronzer and highlighter in one and the quality is just really amazing. I definitely think that it’s one of the better drugstore bronzer/highlighter duo’s and I highly recommend giving it a try!
The Alverde Baked Duo Bronzer is available at DM Drogerie for €3,95.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which bronzer and highlighter you love using!
Wat een mooie duo palette is dit zeg vooral de bronzer heeft een goed pigment.
Ziet er goed uit. vooral het feit dat de bronzer geen shimmer bevat lijkt me fijn ♥ xx Liefs

Did it ever come to you to mix the highlighter side with the bronze one? Since the bronzer is too dark for you, maybe you should mix them together 🙂 They are both matte so maybe it will work for you. I’m thinking about buying it, and since I’m pale I think I’ll be mixing those two sides.
That’s a great idea! I honestly never thought of it!
