All Time Favourites!

04/03/2016

All Time Favourites

I’ve been doing makeup for quite some years now, about 5 to 6 years. Throughout those years I’ve tried and tested lots and lots of makeup. Some of it was good, some of it was bad and some of it was in between. Today I’m going to show you the products that were good. Well, let’s rephrase that. The products which were amazing. Products that I’ve been loving for ages now, and that I will continue loving for a couple more ages. If you’re interested in finding out which products I’m talking about, make sure you keep on reading!

Origins Ginzing Moisturiser & TBS Tea Tree Serum

Let’s start off with some skin care favourites. My first favourite is the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser. One day I bought it, just because I wanted to try something by Origins for once and this product seemed pretty interesting to me. I didn’t expect much of it, but it ended up wowing me. This is such an amazing moisturiser. I love that it’s gel-based and the scent is really, really nice.

The next product has been a favourite of mine for ages. This is my third or maybe even fourth tube, and once I run out of it, I sure will buy a new one. This Tea Tree Serum by The Body Shop is great for oily skin. It really reduces the oil production and it is a great base for your makeup.

Nivea Man Post Shave Balm & UD Setting Spray

Next up is the Nivea Men Sensitive Aftershave Balm. I’ve been using this every single day for half a year now, maybe a bit longer and that’s definitely for a reason. This is definitely the best makeup primer in the whole wide world and I love how quickly it sinks into the skin. It’s great and you should try it!

The next favourite hasn’t been in my life for too long, but it has been here long enough for me to know it’s the absolute best. I’m talking about the amazing Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray. This keeps my oil under control really well and it makes my makeup last all day. It’s really amazing.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer & Catrice Camouflage Cream

The next two favourites have been favourites for quite some time now. The first one is the well known and well loved concealer by Collection, the Lasting Perfection concealer. It’s very popular for a reason. It’s amazing. This is literally the best you can get. The coverage is insane, it has a really pretty finish and it just lasts. All day, all night. It’s amazing.

The other concealer favourite is the Catrice Camouflage Cream. This is about my 4th jar and I already have a backup for the day this one runs out. This concealer gives you great coverage and it’s just very nice and easy to work with. I don’t really know specifically why I like it so much, but I do. And it’s amazing.

Benefit They're Real Mascara, MAC Soft & Gentle, Maybelline BrowSatin

Onto the Maybelline Brow Satin. Ever since I tried this for the first time I have been in love. With this product your brows can’t fail. They will always look absolutely stunning. The only downside to this product is that it runs out really quickly and it isn’t particularly cheap. But for me, it’s definitely worth it.

Ever since I first tried the Benefit They’re Real mascara I have been in love. There is literally no mascara on earth that is capable of being better than this one. This mascara makes my lashes so full, black, long, curled and perfect looking. It’s incredible. This is quite an expensive product, and it doesn’t last that long, but it’s so, so, so worth it. I promise you.

The MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle has been a favourite of mine since I first started using it. It provides you with such a pretty glow and that glow lasts so long on your skin. It’s incredible. I really like how natural it looks, while still being pretty opaque.

Cream Shadows, Benefit, MAC, Maybelline

Everyone who has been following my blog for a while knows I’m obsessed with cream eyeshadow. It’s just an essential for me. Throughout the years I’ve tried quite a few and these three are by far the best. The first one I love is from Benefit. It’s their Creaseless Cream Shadow in R.S.V.P. I really like the colour, the texture is super soft and creamy and not sticky at all and it lasts all day.

Next to that is my beloved Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze. Out of all the cream shadows I’ve tried, this is my favourite. I use it almost everyday and that is because it’s just a brilliant product. Yes, it’s a little sticky and not as smooth to apply as the other two are, but it stays in place, it makes every look of mine look prettier and it’s just incredible. If you ever want to try cream shadows, try this one. You won’t regret it, I promise.

The last favourite is the MAC Paint Pot in Vintage Selection. I like this because it’s very pretty, it’s settle and it adds some intensity to my eye looks. The only thing with this is that I’m not sure whether or not it stays as well as the other two, but I still really enjoy using it.

Baby Lips Dr. Rescue & MAC Peach Blossom

Onto the lips department. Just like the cream shadows, the Maybelline Baby Lips have been a hot topic on my blog too throughout the past year or so. I have quite a lot of Baby Lips, most of the ones that are or have been available in or around the Netherlands, and I loved them all, especially the Dr. Rescue ones. That because they smell really nice and they work a tad bit better than the other versions. I also really love the colours they come in.

My other lip favourite is MAC’s Peach Blossom. When I first saw it online I wasn’t attracted to it, but when the MAC mua applied it I fell in love. Peach Blossom is literally the most perfect everyday nude colour for me. It’s not too pale, it’s not too bright, it doesn’t make me look trashy and it’s suitable for every occasion. If you ever want to buy a MAC lipstick, I suggest you get this one. It’s perfect!

Beautyblender & Chloe

My second last favourite is the (disgusting looking, sorry for that) Beautyblender. It’s such an incredible little sponge. It makes my foundation look absolutely flawless and super natural and it’s very easy to work with. Cleaning it is definitely a time consuming thing, but it’s definitely worth it.

And the last favourite is a perfume. It’s Chloé. I dreamed of buying it ever since I was 12, and I bought it when I was 15. Ever since that moment I was in love. It has been my signature scent since, and it will definitely be my signature scent for much longer. It’s the best.

And that was it for today. Those were my all time favourites. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and let me know which products are your all time favourites!

XOXO, Nicole.

Al weet ik. Het blijft toch een gek idee dat Nivea Men Sensitive Aftershave Balm een goede primer is. 😉 Ik heb genoeg liggen in de kast van mijn man. Ik moet het eens proberen.
