Since I’ve been into makeup for such a long time, a lot of products have passed my beauty routine. There have been so many products that I’ve tried out throughout the years. So many of which I loved and also so many of them I didn’t love. In today’s post I wanted to talk to you guys about the products that I used to love back in the day. And I mean adore. These are going to be products I have raved about, products I lived for and couldn’t live without, and that I now hardly ever use. I don’t know if this is interesting to you in any way, but if it is, make sure you continue reading this post!
Let’s start off with the first product. This is the Inglot Brow Shaping Mascara in number 3. I bought this when I was in Krakow about three years ago. I was buying some new brow products and the sales lady recommend this to me. I was very into tinted brow gels back then so I obviously took it with me and soon it became my favourite. The main reason why I don’t use it anymore, is because I’m not really into tinted brow gels right now. I think that they make my brows are bit too dark and therefore I prefer clear ones. However, the wand and the formula on this one is phenomenal, so if I can find this in a clear shade, I’d definitely start using and loving it all over again!
The next product is the Benefit They’re Real! Mascara. If anyone asks me about my favourite mascara’s, I will always mention this. I remember getting this, being one of my first more expensive mascara’s, and really loving it. Everything about it was right, but the wand was the most amazing thing about it. I quickly ran out of it because well, I used it a lot. And the thing is, even though I planned to do so, I never repurchased it. And therefore I did eventually stop raving about it. However, if I’d repurchase this mascara I’m 100% sure I’ll instantly fall in love with it all over again, because it is and will always be an amazing mascara!
Next up is a blush by Maxfactor. I remember getting this so well! I read a lot of reviews about it and after that I immediately went to the drugstore to pick it up. It was one of my first non-super-cheap blushes and that made me even more excited. It definitely still is a very affordable product and that’s what makes it so incredible. In short this is just a very high-quality affordable blush. It has the best texture a blush could have and the colours are so, so, so stunning. Now that I’m writing this I’m so excited to start using it again. The reason why I stopped using it is because I started buying a lot of other blushes after this, some of which ended up in my ‘daily favourites drawer’, and this one didn’t. So I forgot about it and never looked back. But guys, I think I’m going to use it again tomorrow because it really is worth the hype!
Another big, big favourite is the NYX Blush in Taupe. This used to be a cult favourite, an extremely popular product. I remember that when it came to Douglas, it used to be sold out every time I wanted to pick it up. I ended up getting it in an actual NYX store on vacation I believe. And looking at it, I clearly did love it a lot. I still think that it’s a great product because of its unique colour. However, I ended up buying a different bronzer by Chanel which was obviously a bit more interesting to me at the time. Making me forget about this one.
Moving on to two eye palettes I have loved to death. The first one being the famous Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. The Naked craze was still on when I got this. Big time. These palettes were sold out everywhere all the time and it was difficult to get your hands on. I remember that when I finally managed to order it I was through the roof because of the excitement and when it arrived at my house I got really excited again. I started using it and for the longest time I didn’t stop. It was my favourite Naked palette for a while there. However, just like with most of these products, new products came along and I forgot about how nice this product was!
The other eyeshadow palette I’ve kinda forgotten is the Too Faced Natural Eye Palette. This is such a classic and it actually was one of my first eyeshadow palettes. I used to use this every single day and I loved every second of it. I do still use it, not very often, but every once in a while. And when I do, I remember how amazing it is. However, I have so much to choose from now, that it’s so hard not to forget about certain products!
The last product I used to adore is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in the tube. The Healthy Mix range was everything to me. It was literally all that I used as a base for the longest time. This was actually one of the first concealers, if not the first one, that I’ve used. The reason why I stopped using it is not because I didn’t like it anymore or because of some other products. It’s because the shades are way too dark for me. And nowadays they only sell the new version which really isn’t up my alley. Sadly!
With that being said I think I’ve shown you guys most of the products that I used to love. I hope that you enjoyed reading this little trip down memory lane, and be sure to let me know which products you used to love but don’t anymore!
