Recently something really sad happened. My favourite AKG Earphones broke and to my disappointment, they didn’t make those exact ones anymore. This meant I had to go out and look for new earphones that were going to be as amazing as my favourite AKG’s were. And that’s definitely not an easy job to fulfil. I loved those earphones. After searching for a while I ended up ordering the JBL T210 In-Ear Earphones. In today’s post I’m going to tell you guys everything about it and I’ll let you guys know if these are as amazing as my beloved AKG earphones were. If you’re interested in finding out, make sure you continue reading this post!
Okay so, when I ordered the earphones they arrived in a good looking little box. They were packed in there really tight and it was definitely a struggle to get them out of the packaging. The packaging is fully made out of plastic (which isn’t great to be honest) and it looks rather basic. It’s decorated with an image and it looks standard. Nothing much to say about it to be honest. It’s a packaging of a pair of earphones. It’s not that interesting. Why am I spending so much time on it?
Anyway, inside the packaging are the earphones, you get a soft bag to store them in and you get two more sizes of little rubbers to put on your earphones. If you have small ears you can change them to small rubbers, if you’re a medium you’re already good to go and if you have big ears you can use the big rubbers. I have particularly small ears so I decided to switch them to the small size. And by the way, doing that wasn’t easy at all. It actually took me about half an hour to get the job done. That might have something to do with my motor-skills, but it’s also because they are way too tight. But well, now that they’re on there, they’re there and it’s all good in the hood.
One thing I want to mention is the little bag you get with it to store them in. I don’t like it. My AKG earphones came with a hardcase cover and I definitely preferred that. They actually protect the earphones from any damage in your bag and they do that way better than a soft little sachet like this one can. Little cheap.

Okay, back to the earphones. The shape of them is a little different than you might be used to. I have to say that at first I was very confused about which one was supposed to go in my left ear and which one in my right one. Luckily it says ‘L’ and ‘R’ on the earphones, but still. It was confusing. That’s because the earphones have a bit of a unique design. They are shaped in a way they fit into your ears really well, but it’s a feeling you might need to get used to at first.
Even though I was a bit hesitant about it, I’m actually really loving the way these earphones are shaped. Because my ears and especially my ear canal are very small, most earphones don’t fit me well. These actually do. Even when I eat. I’m so impressed by that. They stay in my ears better than my beloved AKG ones did so that’s a big win for JBL. I’m really loving the my-earphones-don’t-fall-out-of-my-ears-life. It’s a whole new world for me and I feel welcome.
Another well thought out thing about these earphones is the jack plug. The little thingy has a bit of a bended shape to it, thanks to which it won’t break off as easily. The cord itself is made out of a rubbery feeling material and it’s flat and very thin. This should prevent it from getting tangled and in a way it does. But compared to my AKG earphones -which had fabric around the cable so it wouldn’t tangle- these ones tangle a lot.
In terms of sound I’m very impressed by these earphones. I used to use apple earphones back in the day. Those were my standard and it didn’t bother me that much. But now that I’ve used earphones with a proper mechanism to let you hear the bass and the drums really well, I don’t want to go back. And I wasn’t sure whether these JBL earphones would have the ability to let me hear the bass as well as the AKG ones did.
But they do. They really do. Because they fit into my ear so well, they close it off really well. And because it’s closed off, the sound can be transferred into my ear properly. Therefore the sound sounds very ‘whole’. Like you hear everything you are supposed to hear and it’s an amazing experience. The bass is really nice and intense and it adds a whole new dimension to the music I’m listening to.
All in all I’m really impressed by these JBL T210 In-Ear Earphones. I wasn’t expecting them to be as amazing as the ones I used to love so much, but they are. In a way they are even better because they stay in my ears really well. They are a perfect fit for me. The sound is absolutely amazing and I love how intense it makes the music. These are definitely earphones I’d fully recommend. They’re amazing!
