This year I’ve started to become more and more interested in skincare. On one hand because lots of brands came out with so many amazing product, but also because I just started caring more about what I put on my skin and what not. Thanks to that I’ve discovered a ton of amazing skincare product. In today’s post I wanted to share 5 of my skincare musthaves. If you’re interested in finding out which products are musthaves in my book, make sure you continue reading!
My first musthave, or actually musthaves are the Lush Toner Waters. I decided to show both versions I have because it’s about their toners in general and not just one of them. The first reason why I like these toners so much is because they are very nice to my skin. Most toners are pretty drying and some even make my skin burn, but these do not. They are very kind and sensitive and that makes them great.
I also really appreciate that they come in a bottle with a little spray thingy because that makes them incredibly easy to use. You just spray it on your face and you’re good to go.
Aside from that I just really like the Lush vibe. I like that these products are fresh and handmade and I like that there’s not too much junk in them. These are genuinely good for your skin and that’s obviously very important!
Onto my second musthave. This one probably doesn’t really come as a shocker but it’s Bioderma. I know the whole Bioderma hype has been over for a while, but it’s genuinely a great product. It’s not just the hype around it that makes it worth trying.
I have tried a ton of micellair waters in my life, about 7 of them, but this one is and will always be the best. It’s super sensitive for your skin, it doesn’t contain any junk. It doesn’t have perfume in it’s just so kind for my skin. Back when I had the super sensitive eye problem this was one of the only products I could use without hurting by skin terribly. That means a lot to me.
Aside from being so kind it’s also the most amazing makeup remover ever. Most sensitive removers aren’t very effective, but this one definitely is. It seriously gets rid of all of your makeup. No residue at all. Everything will be gone. It might be a bit more expensive than the micellair waters from the drugstore, but it’s still pretty affordable and totally worth it!
My next musthave is The Ordinary. Just like the Lush tones it’s not about one product in particular, but about the whole range. I have about 8 or 9 of their products and seriously none of them have disappointed me. My two favourites from the range are the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% and the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%.
The products are very affordable yet very effective. They are everything luxurious skincare products are but without excess ingredients that aren’t very effective anyway and with a better price tag. I think this brand is very revolutionary and I love it a ton! I highly recommend giving their products a try!
Onto another great discovery, the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel. This is a moisturiser that has been well-known and well loved for years now, but it was only a few months ago when I discovered it. Out of all the moisturisers I have ever tried, this is probably one of my top favourites.
One of the many reasons why I like this moisturiser is because it’s again very sensitive. It’s unscented and it doesn’t make my skin burn. Even when I use this around my eye area which is incredibly sensitive, it doesn’t hurt at all. Aside from that I also really like the texture of it. It’s an incredibly light formula but it is still moisturising enough for my skin.
If you do struggle with rather sensitive skin, or if you don’t like putting perfume on your face, but you do have rather oily skin, this moisturiser is perfect for you!
My last musthave is another moisturiser. This one is by the brand Origins and it’s their GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser. It’s another gel-based formula which I really like. It hydrates the skin but it does sink in very quickly and it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. Aside from that this moisturiser has the most amazing scent to it. It’s definitely an energy boosting scent and that really helps me in the morning.
Aside from that I feel like it’s a great moisturiser for day’s when you’re feeling a bit dull and sleepy. Aside from the awakening and refreshing scent, it makes your skin look more lively and fresh than it did before. It adds some sort of inner-glow to your complexion that I really, really like. It’s not the most affordable product, but definitely worth the price!
And that concludes today’s post. I really enjoyed talking about my favourite skincare products and I hope you enjoyed reading it too! Thank you so much for reading today’s post and be sure to let me know which skincare products you think are musthaves!
XOXO, Nicole.
