Lately I’ve been writing a lot about high-end makeup products. Since not everyone is able to buy that expensive makeup or not willing to splurge that much on just one piece of makeup (which I totally understand) I decided to write something about affordable makeup for a change. So, today I’m going to show you guys 5 affordable makeup products you just HAVE to try. If you’re interested in finding out which five items I think are worth the try and why, make sure you continue reading!
The first affordable product I think it worth the try is the NYC Show-Time mascara. I recently reviewed it and oh my, it’s amazing. It’s, aside from my beloved Essence Forbidden Volume mascara which unfortunately is discontinued (which is why I’m not showing it in this post), my favourite mascara at the moment.
It separates the lashes really well, it volumizes them, it adds curl and it makes them look fantastic all day. It’s also super black and very long wearing so you don’t have to worry about it slipping and sliding anywhere. It’s really, really great and I highly recommend giving it a go!
NYC Show-Time Mascara – €1,99
Next up is a little eyeshadow palette by Essence. This is their Smokey Eyes Set if I’m correct and it contains 3 really pretty eyeshadows. I bought this a while ago because I drew my attention and because it was so affordable but it really surprised me. The quality of the shadows is phenomenal and the colour selection is stunning.
The name of the palette is Smokey Eyes Set but don’t let that scare you away. You can definitely create a gorgeous everyday look with this little trio if you want. It all depends on which colours so decide to apply and how much of it you pack on your lids.
Essence Smokey Eyes Set – €2,89
This next product isn’t super budget proof but it’s not expensive either. This is a powder by Sephora’s own brand. Overall I think the Sephora brand has some pretty great products, but this is probably my favourite. This powder is really soft and silky and is everything but powdery or cakey looking on the skin, but it is very mattifying. Aside from that I can really appreciate the smell of it. It smells very feminine and just overall really nice.
I have had this powder for a long, long time now, I bought it back when we still had Sephora’s in The Netherlands, and I’ve used it on and off since then but as for right now I think it’s incredible. I’m obsessed with it!
Sephora Mattifying Pressed Powder – €11,95
The fourth product I think you should try is the E.L.F. Mineral Lipstick in the shade Raspberry. I have to admit that this is more of a autumnal shade rather than a summery colour, but I do think it’s absolutely stunning and if you want to you can obviously just wear it all year round.
This lipstick is only 5 Euro’s and it has the best texture and colour pay off out of all of the budget lipsticks I’ve ever tried. This one is so comfortable to wear, it’s so pretty to look and and it’s so nice to have. It’s really worth the try!
E.L.F. Mineral Lipstick in Raspberry – €5,00
The last product I think is worth the try is the L’Oreal Infallible Ultra Concentrated Colour Eyeshadow in the shade Hourglass Beige. First of all this is a dupe for my beloved Stila Kitten and second of all it’s just the most stunning eyeshadow on the face of the earth.
This shadow is so immensely pigmented, so rich and so shimmery. It looks so good with every look. It takes them all to the next level. This is just an essential if you ask me. So if you’re ever on the hunt for the perfect shadow, go for this one!
L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige – €11,99
And that basically concludes today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know which affordable makeup products you think everyone has to try!
XOXO, Nicole.
Fijne aanraders, hoewel ik die lipstick van E.L.F. het meest interessant vind! Prachtige kleur is dit, en lief prijskaartje ook. (:
