Well, well, well. It’s time for another Bobbi Brown review. Exactly one week ago I reviewed the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze and today I feel like it’s the perfect time to review the Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick in Pink. I’m not going to blabber too much about it and just dive into the review. So, if you’re interested in finding out more about this blush, make sure you continue reading!
So, let’s start discussing the packaging. The packaging of this product is pretty basic Bobbi Brown. It’s very similar to the packaging of their famous Shimmer Bricks but it’s slightly smaller and less thick. Quality wise it does feel the same. It’s quite hefty and it feels like it’s just well made.
The design of the packaging is definitely a plus for me. It looks clean and professional. Aside from that it also comes with a mirror inside so it’s also great to take with you when you’re on the go. How nice is that?
The colour of this particular Brightening Brick is called Pink and that’s exactly what it is. The Brightening Brick consists out of 6 different parts with different tones of pink. This way you can swirl your brush through the pan and get a nice mixture of all the colours or you can concentrate on one side of the pan in order to create your own customised shade of blusher.
I really like the colour of this product for blush. It’s a very natural colour but it’s also a nice and fresh colour that looks good with every look. It’s like the name already says a brightening product. It really lifts up the face and adds a healthy look to it. You shouldn’t see this particular product as a highlighter (however, they do have highlighter versions of this product), but it is definitely a brightening product.
When it comes to quality I did expect quite a lot. When I pay €50 for something, it should be mind blowing, breath taking and eye catching all at once. Because I never really did any research on this product before I bought it I didn’t know if it was going to reach my expectations, but knowing Bobbi Brown I was pretty sure it would.
And I have to say, this product doesn’t disappoint me at all. It’s one of the prettiest cheek products I have in my collection and I really enjoy using it.
The swatch picture is very poorly, I know, but it really is a gorgeous and pigmented product on the cheeks!
One of the many reasons why I like this product so much is because of its pigmentation. Because the quality of the picture is just terrible you can’t really tell, but trust me, this product has exactly the right amount of pigmentation. It’s not an overly pigmented blush so it’s not a blush you have to be careful with, but it also doesn’t lack any pigmentation. It really has exactly the right amount.
Aside from that I’m also really fond of the texture of this product. It’s not immensely soft of satin-like, like most other blushes I really fancy, but it’s great in its own way. It’s not blotchy, it applies evenly and it’s very smooth to work with. I really like this product because of that!
Overall I’m really glad I ended up buying this little guy. It’s just absolutely stunning and the quality is incredible. I had high hopes for this and luckily it made them true. I really enjoy using it and I’m really sure this will end up in one of my favourites posts! I highly recommend giving it a try if you’re feeling like splurging on makeup!
The Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick in Pink is available at Douglas and Bijenkorf for €50,-.
That was it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know how you like this blush and whether or not you think it’s worth the price!
