Back in Warsaw, when I basically lived at Sephora, I bought two makeup brushes from the Sephora own brand. I bought the Multitasker Complexion Brush, which I reviewed a couple of weeks ago, and I bought the Sephora PRO Flawless Airbrush makeup brush. Because it’s such a unique brush I wanted to try it out in lots of different ways and with tons of different products, which is why it took me so long to be ready for the review, but now it’s finally time. So, if you’re interested in finding out more about this gorgeous brush, make sure you continue reading!
The Sephora PRO Flawless Airbrush has a very professional look to it. The handle tapers towards the end and is made out of black painted wood with silver letters graved into it. The hairs of the brush are a mixture of grey and brown and the top part is white. All of this together just creates a really pretty and professional look. Even though I love my rose gold Zoeva brushes a lot and my colourful Real Techniques brushes, this one just looks a lot better because it looks a lot more professional and classy. I’m just really into the look of it.
However, when I just bought it I wasn’t quite sure about the shape of this brush. I mean it looks very interesting, but I had no idea what would be the perfect purpose for it. I know that they recommend using it for foundation, but I’m not someone who just uses her brushes for the purposes they were made for. I like to use them for what works best and with this brush I just didn’t really now what it would work best for if you get what I mean.
Sephora Collection PRO Flawless Airbrush – €24,95
Having said that let’s take a look at what Sephora says about this brush and base the rest of this review on that information. According to Sephora this expert brush applies all types of foundation and provides a natural, airbrushed finish. The brush is designed to provide greater precision and maximum control. The brush head is densely packed with short, synthetic bristles which is supposed to be ideal for building coverage in layers until you’ve reached your desired finish. When it comes to using the brush they recommend applying the foundation to the back of your hand and gradually buff it onto the skin. They also recommend using small, circular motions on larger areas such as the cheeks and forehead.
Even though that last bit of information wasn’t really useful to the makeup experts who are reading this, Sephora is giving some great information here. I first of all really like the fact that this brush is supposed to work with any type of foundation. In other words it works with thicker consistencies as well as with thinner foundations. I also like that they build this brush in a way it’s perfect for building coverage, I didn’t know the density of the brush hairs had anything to do with that, but it’s great they kept that in mind while designing this brush. Aside from that I also really like the design of the brush because like they tell us, it does provide maximum control and greater precision.
I’ve already mentioned that I like the shape of the brush a couple of times now, but I haven’t described what it’s like just yet. I do think pictures tell more than words when it comes to this, but the combination of pictures and words is even better, isn’t it? So, let’s dive into it. The shape of the brush does sort of remind me of a regular foundation brush, you know, those flat ones, but it also reminds me of a small buffer brush. It’s a bit of a combination of both and I think that that’s what makes this brush unique. It does have a very dense rounded top which feels incredibly soft on the skin and is great at building coverage.
What I like about the shape is that you can use it different ways. You can use the top to really buff the foundation into your skin but you can also use it on its side to apply the foundation in a way you would if you were using a regular flat foundation brush. It’s just very diverse which I think is great because I’m not someone who likes the same thing everyday, I’m all about switching up what I use and how I use it, so this brush is basically perfect for me.
When it comes to the quality of the brush in general I’m very positive. I think this brush is very well made. It feels and looks sturdy and professional and so far I haven’t seen any signs that could tell me that this isn’t a great brush. The hairs seem to be attached very strongly to the brush, there hasn’t been a single hair that broke loose throughout the time I’ve been using this brush and it also survives countless times of washing the brush. So when it comes to quality I don’t think there’s any bad word to say about this brush.
Overall I just think that this Sephora PRO Flawless Airbrush is absolutely incredible. It looks super professional, it feels very sturdy and the quality of the entire brush is just amazing. Aside from that it does have a very unique shape which works extremely well and is very diverse when it comes to using it. The results I get with it are just stunning and therefore I think it’s a brush you should have if you love foundation and a flawless application. It has quickly become one of my favourite foundation brushes and that means quite a lot since I’m very picky when it comes to foundation brushes!
And that’s pretty much it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post and be sure to let me know what you think of this brush and which brush is your favourite when it comes to applying foundation!
