Throughout the past couple of weeks you have seen a few Rituals Shower Oil reviews passing by (if you are a follower of my blog). I have actually purchased all scents of the Rituals Shower Oils a couple of months ago and I’ve been reviewing them one by one throughout the weeks lately. I try to spread it out a little so it won’t become boring after a while. Anyway, today it’s time for another Rituals Shower Oil review. Today we are talking about the Rituals Ritual Of Sakura Caring Shower Oil. If you’re interested in finding out everything there is to know about this product, make sure you continue reading
Just like all other Rituals Shower Oils the Ritual Of Sakura Caring Shower Oil comes in a slim, long bottle with a little pump on top. The pump is locked by this little plastic thingy that you definitely shouldn’t throw out or lose, because if you do you’ll never be able to lock the pump again and that’s just not very practical. I actually wouldn’t recommend taking these shower oils with you anyway because the chances of them leaking in your bag are pretty big and oil can cause a very big mess and very ugly stains in your stuff.
Anyway, this bottle is white and isn’t clear like most of the other Shower Oil bottles from Rituals. It has a lilac coloured part near the pump and aside from that it’s a pretty minimalistic packaging. It has only the necessary information written on the front of the bottle and nothing more or less than that. I personally really like that, even though this is my least favourite design out of the entire collection of Shower Oils.
Rituals The Ritual Of Sakura Shower Oil – €8,50
Fun fact: my first ever Rituals product was from the Ritual Of Sakura range. Back then it did have a different name, but the scent stayed the same throughout the years. Therefore I was very excited about trying the shower oil from this range. Also because I have a matching body cream to use with it. I’m usually not that big on matching things, also not when it comes to my shower gel and body cream, but in this case I thought it’d be fun to be able to use both products from the same range.
Anyway, the Ritual Of Sakura range is all about the annual flowering of Sakura which is celebrated in Japan. It has been celebrated for centuries and it symbolises the beauty of life. Make each day feel like a new beginning.
I think that’s a really nice thought and I’d definitely love to use a product that symbolises this saying. I can be quite a negative little girl, so being reminded of the beauty of life whenever I take a shower is definitely a good thing. I know that it’s just a shower oil, but I always read the back of the packagings of the products I use in the shower so for me, every time I use this product, it will be a reminder of the beauty of life.
Normally I would now try to describe the scent of this product, but since I’m very bad at that and you’ll end up having no idea what it actually smells like after reading that anyways I’m just going to skip that. The top notes of the scent are rice milk and cherry blossom and that’s the best description of the scent I can possibly give you. It’s a very Rituals-like scent and I’m personally a huge, huge fan of it!
Moving on to the product itself. The oil has a very nice texture. You would expect it to feel very greasy and slippery, but actually it’s not like that at all. The consistency of this product actually looks quite a bit like a shower gel but a lot more liquidy and less gelly. You can feel that it’s an oil because it feels much softer and more moisturising on the skin and I love the effect of that.
This shower oil really takes care of your skin. It nourishes the skin on my body and it makes it feel really nice and soft. It still does a great job at cleansing my body while nourishing it and I think that’s just a wonderful combination. I really love this, especially now during the colder months when my skin tends to be a bit dryer.
Overall I really like the Rituals The Ritual Of Sakura Caring Shower Oil. I first of all am a big fan of the scent. It’s very nice and calming. It also has a very nice texture and it leaves my skin feeling nice and silky. I think it’s a great product to use on a daily basis, especially during the colder months since my skin tends to need a bit more moisture then.
That’s it for today’s review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know what you think of the Rituals Shower Oils and if you are familiar with them, be sure to let me know which scent if your favourite!
