A while ago I decided to order some products from Kiko. One of the products I ordered was the Colour Veil Blush. I have heard lots of good things about it, so I decided to give it a chance myself. Today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out more about this gorgeous pink blush, make sure you keep on reading!
The Kiko Colour Veil Blush comes in a relatively small round packaging. The bottom part is made out of black rubberised plastic and the lid is just clear. It’s very simple, but somehow it does look very professional to me. I don’t know why, but I do know that I like that about it. Even though the blush comes in a small packaging, you do get quite a lot of product. That is because this blush is baked, so it’s not flat like any other blush.
The Colour Veil blushes are available in 6 different colours, but back when I ordered it the one I have now is the only one that was left. The colour I bought is called 01 Pink, which is a very pretty icy pink shade. It’s not something I would usually go for, but that is what I like about it. It’s different.
01 Pink is actually the perfect winter colour. I don’t know really know why, but this shade just screams winter to me. I like how light and cool toned it is. I think colours like this one will look great on pale people like me. It’s perfect if you want to achieve that natural look. Even though this blush might look a little unnatural in the packaging, it’s actually capable of giving you that natural blushed look.
Enough about the colour, onto the product itself. The name ‘Colour Veil’ sounded pretty interesting and promising to me, so I decided to check out the Kiko website to see what’s so special about it. According to Kiko these Colour Veil blushes give your cheeks a glowing, fresh and radiant look. They also say that the colour is very buildable and that the texture is very fine, lightweight and easy to blend. That sounds very promising.
Let’s start off with the texture. The blush is indeed very soft and lightweight. It really has that silky touch to it and I like that a lot about it. It’s very easy to blend and sits nice on the skin. The buildable part is true to a certain extend. You can make it a bit more intense by applying multiple layers of product, but it will never be very, very pigmented. I personally think that that is a good thing, since I think extreme pink cheeks look really bad, but if that’s the look you’re going for, the fact that this isn’t crazily pigmented might be a bad thing for you.
Kiko also claims that this blush will make your cheeks look glowing, fresh and radiant, and that is pretty much what this blush does. I do have to mention that it’s not like you can make a dead corpse look healthy and alive by using this blush, it doesn’t make that much of a difference, so don’t expect that, but it does definitely help. This blush is perfect for those days when you feel a little off but you do want to look healthy.
Overall I think the Kiko Colour Veil Blush in 01 Pink is quite amazing. I like the way it makes my cheeks look and I really like the colour. I also really like the texture and the fact that it’s very easy to blend and therefore also very easy to work with. I highly recommend this blush!
