Inglot Freedom System Palette x 3

29/08/2015

Inglot trio packaging

While shopping at Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford I came across an Inglot store. Where I live we used to have one, but only for a short amount of time. It has been gone for a few years now so I wasn’t really able to buy any more of their products. Therefore I was very delighted to see one of their stores in the mall and I decided to buy a few eyeshadows. Today it’s time for me to review them. If you’re interested in finding out more about it, keep on reading!

Inglot trio

A few years ago, back when we still had an Inglot store in Eindhoven I bought a duo Freedom System palette at Inglot. It came in the magnetic packaging with the matte semi clear lid. I was expecting one of those when I bought this palette, but instead I got a very simple black packaging. I’m actually pretty excited about that since this one isn’t as heavy as the other one and it has a huge mirror inside. Besides that it also comes with a little sponge applicator. I personally don’t really use those, but if you do than that’s a plus as well.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Freedom System concept, it basically means that you can create your own eyeshadow palette (or blush palette, etc.). You can choose yourself how many colors you want and which ones. I decided to go for three very pretty shimmery neutral colors.

Inglot trio 2

Inglot doesn’t give their products names, but they do have numbers. The first color I chose (on the left) is number 154, the one in the middle is number 11 and the one on the right hand side is number 421. I do like it if brands give their products names, but it’s not a big deal breaker for me. All three eyeshadows are from the AMC Eye Shadow Shine Square range and therefore all three of them contain shimmer.

The reason why I was so happy about being in the Inglot store is because the quality of their eyeshadows is just absolutely amazing. They are not super expensive, you get quite a lot of product, there are lots and lots of colors to choose from and the pigmentation is always on point.

Inglot trio 3

The first color I chose, number 154 is a very pretty slightly darker champagne color with very pretty gold shimmers in it. To me it’s the perfect everyday eyelid color. You can wear it with pretty much every other brown or purply shade, which is basically all I wear. The texture is really nice and not powdery at all and it blends very nicely.

The second color, number 11 is pretty similar to number 154 but it’s slightly more yellow and it’s a bit lighter. It’s a bit more to the gold side rather than the champagne side and instead of gold shimmer this one contains silver shimmer. And even though they look so similar in the packaging, on the swatch you can tell they’re actually quite different.

The last color is number 421. It’s a pretty warm dark brown color. I really love these kinds of browns. I chose this particular shade because I feel like it looks good in combination with both lighter shades I chose which I think is an important feature when you’re creating an eyeshadow palette. It also looks good with pretty much every other eyeshadow in my collection so that way I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of it.

The pigmentation is, as I mentioned before, pretty much on point. Besides that all three shadows have a very nice texture. They aren’t powdery, I haven’t experienced any fall out while working with them and they blend nicely. The shadows are also buildable, so if they aren’t intense enough for you, you’ll always be able to apply a little more and get it to look even more intense.

And lastly, the staying power. That’s pretty much amazing too. These shadows stay in place all day. You can apply them in the morning and you don’t have to worry about them all day. They won’t lose any of its intensity throughout the day and they will certainly not crease.

Basically, I’m in love. I knew Inglot eyeshadows were amazing and this palette proved that for me. I really like the fact that you can choose yourself which colors you want and how many and I love that there are so many eyeshadows to choose from. I don’t think it’s possible to not like at least one of the shades they have. I highly, highly recommend going to Inglot and getting a Freedom System palette!

The AMC Eye Shadow Shine Square eyeshadows cost £5,00 each and the palette costs £6,00.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you have any experience with Inglot eyeshadows!
