For Christmas my mom got me this gorgeous Benefit Life Of The Party Beauty Blow-out Full Face Makeup Kit, which was very, very high on my wishlist. That because I have only one other Benefit product and since I really like the brand I wanted to try out a little more. Today I’m going to review this kit. If you’re interested in finding out more about this kit, keep on reading!
The kit comes in a really beautiful metal box. It’s quite sturdy, it can handle a bump or two and it won’t get dirty too quickly. I like it. Aside from the material I also really like the design on it. I think Benefit is the best brand in the world when it comes to packagings. Literally every single one of their products look absolutely incredible and adorable, I love that!
On the back of the box in which the metal box comes (if that makes any sense) it shows you what is in this kit. This kit contains the Benefit POREfessional Primer, two of the Benefit blushes (Dandelion and Rockateur), a blush brush, a sponge applicator, three eyeshadows, the Benefit Benetint and lastly the Benefit They’re Real Mascara. All of the products are travel sizes, but it’s a great way to give the Benefit products a try without spending a lot of money on it.
Enough about the packaging, on to the actual products. Let’s start off with the blushes. The top half, the lighter part, is called Dandelion. This is a really pretty wearable everyday pink shade. It looks good with pretty much every single look you’ll ever create and I think it looks good on lots of different skin tones. The other part is called Rockateur. This one is a little less wearable, but still absolutely gorgeous. It has a bit of shimmer to it and is a little darker than Dandelion.
The three shadows in this palette are very neutral and wearable. For someone who loves to keep their makeup really natural, these three shadows could create the perfect everyday makeup look. I personally like my eyelooks to be a bit darker, so I do need to use a separate dark brown colour in order to create an entire look, but that’s definitely no big deal at all. Overall I think the shadows are really pretty and loved by lots of people.
Onto the primer. I have heard a lot of good things about the Benefit POREfessional. Out of all of the primers in the world, I feel like this is the most popular one. Therefore I was very excited to give it a try.
The POREfessional by Benefit is a pretty amazing primer. It’s supposed to minimize the appearance of pores and of course, it’s supposed to extend the staying power of your makeup. And to be honest, it’s really true. Because I’m still in love with the Nivea Men Aftershave Balm (as primer) I use this in combination with that, and I love it. My makeup stays put perfectly all day, even if that day lasts more than 12 hours and my makeup looks absolutely gorgeous when I use this.
Next up is the Benefit Benetint. This was quite a popular product a few years ago, but since it’s not the easiest product to work with and we like to keep things quick it kind of faded away. But even though it’s not super quick and easy, I do really like having it.
The Benefit Benetint is a liquid cheek and lipstain. It comes in the same packaging as a nail polish does, with the same sort of applicator, but it’s for the lips and cheeks instead of the nails. Quality wise I really like this product. It’s not too pigmented, but it does show up on the face. I prefer using it as a lipstain instead of a cheek stain, but overall it’s a great product.
Onto the last product: the Benefit They’re Real Mascara. Because this is such a hyped mascara I’ve always wanted to try it, but because I didn’t believe in super expensive mascara’s I never did. But lord oh lord, I am so, so, so happy I got this mascara. It’s literally the best mascara in the world. I actually ordered a full size now, so for a in depth review you have to wait a little while longer, but just know that I’m in love with it and that it’s the best thing in the world!
Pigmentation wise all products that come in this kit are absolutely amazing. The eyeshadows are pretty intense, really pigmented and easy to work with. The blushes have the exact right amount of colour pay off and so does the Benetint. The mascara makes my lashes look absolutely fabulous and amazing and all these products stay in place all day.
I think it’s clear: I’m in love with this kit. I love every single product in it and I’m pretty sure the mascara isn’t the only thing I’ll be getting the full size of. I think these products are super adorable, the quality is very, very impressive and I think they’re definitely worth the money!
