Those who have been following my blog for a while know how much I love the Maybelline Baby Lips. I have collected most of the ones that are available in the Netherlands and if I come across one I don’t already own I will buy it. Back in Poland I came across two Baby Lips from the Dr. Rescue range that I didn’t have yet so I bought them. Today it’s time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out more about them, make sure you continue reading!
Without rambling too much about useless stuff let’s just hop right in and start discussing the first shade I got. This is the Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in the shade Just Peachy. At first I wasn’t sure whether or not I already had it but it turned out I didn’t. Because it’s from the Dr. Rescue range it comes in a white packaging with blue/mint letters and since the shade of this particular balm is peachy the other letters on the packaging are peachy.
I really like the way they designed these packagings. Okay they aren’t super amazing, they aren’t the best thing I’ve ever seen and they don’t look that luxurious, but for what it is I do like them. The packagings of the Dr. Rescue collection are actually my favourite out of all the Baby Lips.
Just peachy is, like the name already suggest, a peachy shade. It’s nothing more or less than peachy. Just peachy. I personally really like peachy shades so this colour is perfect for me. It’s natural, it’s basic and it goes with every look ever. It suits everyone and there is pretty much no reason not to like it (in my opinion).
When it comes to moisturising my lips I have nothing to complain. In general I think that Baby Lips are incredible when it comes to conditioning and moisturising your lips and this one isn’t any different.
The other balm I got is a clear one. I didn’t have any clear balms from this Dr. Rescue range which is why I wanted to buy it so bad. This one has a very similar packaging as the other balm I just showed you, but instead of peachy letters, the letters on this packaging are just mint.
The thing I like so much about the Dr. Rescue range is that they have this really nice scent to them. It’s a bit minty and it creates a slightly tingling sensation on the lips. If you’re not into that this probably won’t become one of your favourite products ever, but if you like that you might want to give this balm a try!
Quality wise it’s pretty much the same thing as Just Peachy. The only difference is that this one is slightly more waxy than Just Peachy is and I guess that that is because this one doesn’t have any colour or pigment to it and Just Peachy does. For me that’s not really a deal braker or a deal maker, I don’t care about it at all. As long as it takes care of my lips, I’m totally fine with whatever it does and whatever it feels like on my lips.
Overall these two Baby Lips didn’t disappoint me a bit. I’m really glad I finally managed to get my hands on a clear version from this range and Just Peachy is also just stunning. I still think that the Dr. Rescue range is the best range Maybelline ever launched when it comes to their Baby Lips and I highly, highly recommend trying them out!
The Maybelline Baby Lips are available at the drugstore for €3,49.
That was it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed reading it and be sure to let me know if you love Baby Lips too, and if so let me know which one is your favourite!
